Speech at the Miyagi Appeal Grand Rally (full text English version)

The Miyagi Appeal Grand Rally is an annual human rights rally for people with disabilities held in Sendai City.
At the rally, the LGBTQIA+ community is given the opportunity to speak from the perspective of intersectionality and compounded discrimination.
This is the manuscript of my speech on September 3, 2023.
It could not be read in the time given, so posted here.
This is a translation of the original(Japanese) text.

At this year’s G7 Hiroshima Summit, Prime Minister Kishida declared his commitment to the LGBTQIA+ community. However, the Japanese government has yet to even begin considering same-sex marriage or partnership systems. Gender equality lags behind, ranking 113th in the world. Japan is now being hit by a dark wave of backlash against sexual minorities. As usual, conservative politicians are trying to make the trans women’s bathroom issue and fairness in women’s sports a political battleground, and they are trying to take away our human rights.
At this Miyagi Appeal Grand Rally, I spoke about the human rights crisis facing the LGBTQIA+ community in Japan.
This human rights crisis in Japan is not only about sexual minorities, but also about all small and vulnerable people, including people with disabilities, all women, immigrants, and ethnic minorities. It is an issue of intersectional and compounded discrimination.
Please read on.

I got help from DeepL for the translation.
